One for lovers of colour and paint! Children might need a bit of help to set the colours up in a circular pattern in a tray or tub. Once the paint is ready it is simply a matter of using a small stick or skewer to drag the paint from the centre out. Once the first round it completed then try dragging the paint from the outside in. This creates a beautiful pattern reminiscent of a flower. There is no need to do anything more than just enjoy the paint and the process but if you would like to create something to keep, try gently laying a piece of card on the surface of the paint and carefully peeling off. This can give some unexpected effects that could be pieces of abstract art on their own or used as a background from some drawing. Try with straight or wavy lines of paint and with different colour combinations – the options are endless!
