As an art graduate and experienced primary school teacher, I understand the importance of creative exploration and expression. When I returned to teaching after having my children I was concerned that the school curriculum left little room for art. Art had always been my favourite subject at school and it seemed sad that the current generation of children were not getting to experience all that this fantastic subject had to offer. Thus, Art Explorers was born. From experimenting with colour mixing to the textural joys of clay to learning how to look closely at the world around us, art has huge benefits for children at all levels and abilities. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child so proud of their creation that they cannot wait to show it to their family and discuss the processes involved in making it. I feel extremely fortunate to be able to play a part in the artistic journey of the super children who join us at Art Explorers. It is always lovely to meet new faces so please take a look and see what Art Explorers can offer your child.
