Children will take inspiration from the fantastic work of illustrator Marzjr. Working on brightly coloured paper, they will design their own skyscraper-scape. Photos will be provided for inspiration but the children will also be encouraged to design their own tall buildings. We will discuss perspective and light and shadow to create some eye-catching works of art.
Session 2 – Friday 23rd August
Robots!
A session to to really get the creative juices flowing. We will start with a brainstorming session to generate some ideas. What would their perfect robot do and how would it look? We will sketch and share ideas as a group before starting work on the final piece. We will discuss colour mixing, in particular how to achieve a wide range of shades of grey. The children will then apply this knowledge by creating their very own robot painting.
Ages 5 – 11
